A retrofit project of the Green Building Council – Go Smart Bricks
The Green Building Council has launched a retrofit project ‘BUILD UPON’ with a €2.35 million budget across Europe to support Governments in designing and implementing the national renovation strategies. It will comply with the European rules as well. 80 key organisations met at Arup Headquarter, London for the launch. This project was launched in March, 2015. It is a ground-breaking two year project which aims to drive the design and implementation of a long term framework for scaling-up deep energy efficient renovation in 13 countries.
Starting from mapping out a network of over 1,000 key stakeholders and current landscape of retrofit initiatives, the Green Building Council will closely work with governments, the private sector and the civil society to mobilise a year-long stakeholder dialogue process. The project’s results will feed into countries’ v2.0 renovations strategies. This project is funded by EU’s Horizon 2020 programme.
