Apotheosis of Acetech, Bangalore 2015 – Go Smart Bricks

Acetech is the largest exhibition held annually in India on Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Building Materials and Allied Sectors. The ‘Acetech’ exhibition took place in Bangalore from Friday, 9th October to Sunday, 11th October on off Tumkur road, BIEC hall. The purpose of this exhibition was to provide an interactive platform for new as well as established market players to share ideas and exhibit them. Key participants of this exhibition were Manufacturers, Architects, and Realtors.

Highlights

  • Around 1525 exhibitors participated
  • The event continued for three days on a  venue that spread across 42,00,000 sq. ft.
  • Acetech hosted CNBC- AWAAZ REAL ESTATE AWARDS 2015, presented by R.R. Kabel
  • Multicity event was held – across 5 cities, namely, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad

Acetech Theme: customisation and automation

This year’s theme was customisation and automation. Product groups covered in the exhibition included AC, building materials, ceramics, doors, electrical elevators, facades, fixtures, tiles, windows, etc.

According to Vishwanath Rai, marketing executive for Kajaria, Tamil Nadu, ‘There is an increase in demand for customisation, so that it cannot be ignored, rather it has to be embraced’. Kajaria and Chhabria & Sons were some of the key players who showcased customized contemporary bathroom system facilites. The exhibits focused on technological innovation as well. Astral for example, showcased special segment of pipe system which is made of the unique rubber system, and special decibel system. Anusua Mitra, a buliding expert for Wienerberger, says, ‘this type of event provides a single platform for multiple marketplayers, events like this should always be encouraged’.

Special products were exhibited by keeping in mind, the theme of ‘green India’, for instance, companies such as Mahesh industries promoted floor to ceiling services with Eco friendly materials. Another trend that was highly evident was an increase in real estate eCommerce, by companies such as Material Tree and mSupply.com.

Teknix, a vertical transport solution, showcased integrated technological enhancement in the sector of staircases and escalators. Mr. Navin, BDM, Teknix said, ‘automation has provided a new lifeline, by enhancing the jerk system and providing low electric consumption’. Special mention goes to decorama, one of the prime sponsors of Acetech, for showcasing sustainable urbanism through kitchen design and technologies. One more exhibition that caught the consumer’s eye was concept customization and design in art form, by The Artist Soul Pvt. Ltd. Another highlight of Acetech was that on 10th October, CNBC-AWAAZ  REAL ESTATE AWARDS were held at BIEC hall to reward the excellent performances in the real estate industry.

What exhibitors have to say?

Exhibitors were quite thrilled about the whole concept of bringing such unique market players around the country. ‘Whosoever is interested in learning about new innovations or buying new products must visit this exhibition’ recommends Nayan Bheda, Managing Director, Neptune Group. On the other hand innovators such as Sanjay Kapoor, the chief representative of The Artist Soul Pvt. Ltd. says ‘Acetech is a platform to connect and this connect results in increasing business’. Some of the exhibitors were even seen offering discount coupons to capitalize via this event.

What visitors have to say?

Consumers seemed quite excited about the event. In spite of being held on the outskirts of Bangalore, the event received humongous participation all around. Shweta Tiwari, a housewife, said ‘We are looking for our dream house, and this customized platform has given us a choice of too many’. Likewise, Ms. Sheila Dixit, a tecaher by profession, said, ‘I have heard so much about home automation, therefore wanted to observe it first hand, this event changed my whole prospective about what the future of home architecture would be like’.
