Hotels to visit before decorating home – Go Smart Bricks

maximios March 3, 2019

Hotels, that perfect mixture of glamour and sophistication. It is so amazing that nowadays you have people whose job is actually to TEST HOTEL ROOMS. Isn’t it the best job in the world or what? Well, they are not doing it just for the enjoyment, they are doing it for people like you who need this kind of advice. You want to redecorate your home (or just one room in your home, it doesn’t matter) but you want to add that hotel room glow in it, or you simply need some inspiration? If the answer on any of these questions is yes, you came to the right place. Enjoy.

European hotels

Europe is a place which screams fashion and luxury. Can you even imagine how good their hotels are? You will find hotels like: Hotel Panache in Paris with beige-red mixture of colours and textures – which is an incredibly good combination for your bedroom, Hotel des Galeris in Brussels with astonishing green details all over the room, like on the walls, on the bed, on the floor and this calming colour really gives that vacation vibe in your room. It’s all designed by Fleur Delesalle and Camille Flammarion.

If you’re a fan of blue, consider visiting Palazzo Dama in Rome. Since it belonged to the aristocratic family Malaspina, the main decor is mostly in rich shades of blue. Another great thing is that every room has a different design.

In the Hoxton in Amsterdam, you will find inspo for your man cave, since it is very masculine with all its wood panels, leather headboards, wooden floors and colour – blocked walls. If you are a fan of modern colourful patterns and consistent colour palette?

Check Ham Yard hotel in London with its amazing oversized bedheads with a pattern on pattern mechanism of decoration.

Australian glamour

Let’s get straight to the point here, shall we? If you are sceptical about experimenting with all those different and daring patterns and colour mixtures, but on the other hand you are not much of a fan of simplicity and you would maybe try them if you find some good colour combinations, then the Halcyon House in Australia is a perfect place for you. Their crazy mixtures will definitely take your breath away.

Have you sometimes thought about how would it look like if your room is entirely fashion branded? If you did, you must check the Palazzo Versace which is also in Australia. It represents a homage to Gianni Versace. Like the brand itself, the rooms in this hotel are full of bold colours and mixtures, such as powerful duo of blue and yellow.

USA black and white style

If the black and white mixtures enchant you the way they enchant us, check the one and only Chicago Athletic Association designed by Roman and Williams. Besides all the cool black and white accents and steel lamps, it has an astonishing marble floor and leather couches. Fabulous, right?

Moroccan minimalism

For all of you who are neutrals fans, inspire yourself and wake up the hidden interior designer by spending a few nights in Riad Mena in Marrakech, Morocco. The minimalism is strong there since they mostly use grey – white combinations in their rooms. The good thing there is that you can experiment with different homewares there, like putting some layered DIY lighting in the room to freshen it up a little bit and kill the monotony.

It may seem like a crazy idea to explore hotels in order to find an inspiration for your home decorating, but it’s actually is quite useful when you think about it, especially if you spend a few nights there and really understand how that particular design suits you. We firmly believe that, in the end, you will know exactly what you want and how to achieve it.
