Centre for Sports Excellence (CSE) is a one-of-a-kind private multisport facility located in Bengaluru which is now the site of an attention-grabbing Sports Block. The unusual design amalgamated with its well-designed façade makes it totally stands out, perfectly distancing from the typical look of most sports halls in the city. The building has used Wienerberger’s Argemax façade panels for their exterior elevation and we are totally proud to be associated with CSE.

Centre for Sports Excellence: About The Project

Spread across 15 acres, near Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport the centre for Sports Excellence (CSE) is a world-class integrated sports complex. CSE caters to football, Cricket, Swimming, Badminton, Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, and Athletics. CSE is built for sportspersons, by sportspersons and christened after two of the country’s and Karnataka’s most famed sporting legends, the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence. CSE is one of its kinds private multisport facility that was started with the aim to nurture champions for the future.

Undulating Façade

The stunning design and architecture make it clear that this new sports facility stands out from the existing street architecture. The façade panels provided by Wienerberger creates that spectacular first impression. For the precise execution of the Architect’s innovative design vision, they needed a material that offered exceptional design flexibility and freedom. This was achieved by using Wienerberger’s Argemax composite facade panels.

Argemax façade are typically large format panels which come in a maximum size of 2.5 X 1.27 mts, furthermore, these can be converted into any size or shape using standard tools on site or in the workshop, thereby providing the architect with a plethora of uninhibited design choices.

CSE façade has an inimitable design of using 2400 x 300mm panels fixed horizontally and 2 shades of grey colour panels were used to create a unique pattern in the façade. The light-weight feature of the panels and the unique aesthetic appeal played a vital role too.

Beyond the distinctive façade work, this multisport facility has to be recognized for being a one-stop destination for athletes of all ages to train, compete, rehabilitate, shop or simply hang out.
