Suntech and Adani Solar project to tackle power requirements of Gujrat – Go Smart Bricks

Chinese module manufacturer, Suntech has delivered 36,470 modules for a 9.3 megawatt peak solar power project to Adani Power India. This solar project is estimated to meet power requirements of around 32,000 households.
The solar power project has been completed and will be cutting down greenhouse gases emission by nearly 11,000 tons. It has been connected to the grid.
Adani has plans to develop 5,000 megawatts of solar power projects in Gujrat, 5,000 megawatts in Tamil Nadu and 10,000 megawatts in Jharkhand.
A MoU has been signed between Tamil Nadu government and Adani group to set up a solar project of Rs. 4,536 crore in Ramanathapuram district.
All across the state the group will be setting up five solar power units with a total capacity of 648 MW.
