Bringing elegance into your home

From ceilings to accessories, Home interiors is about blending the practical with purpose of comfort and style. Designing and decorating the home is an art that carries with it the stamp of skill and creativity. Be it the hanging wall painting or the usage of colour schemes there’s that fine art of making the liveable space functional and stylish to the discerning eye.

An extension of your personality

If you’re a sportsperson or is artistically inclined then your specific tastes and beliefs will have a direct bearing on the lifestyle you lead . Your home interiors speaks loud, from a choice of furniture to the kind of wall hangings or paintings thereby lending character to the room . Bring your own experience to the room giving the space a sense of history if you will.

Clever use of Color

Enhance the overall appeal by using light to dark shades. Color lends meaning like blue keeps the room cool and youthful. Don’t accentuate the color code lest it lose appeal . Cool blues and purples are also good bedroom color choices, and you can balance brighter tints with white or neutral shades. When paired with brown, soft blues or purples can create a look that is cozy and soothing. Brighter shades of cool colors keep their soothing feel when paired with crisp or creamy white. For even more color, you can add lamps or throw pillows in such complementary colors as yellow, pink or orange.

Green is a perfect color for the bedroom, because it has both cool and warm qualities, depending on the shade you choose. The color of nature, green blends well with natural wood and neutral hues, or with white.

Ceilings are not to be neglected

Light shade is always preferable in the main living room particularly when you have the additional lighting coming from the ceiling top. For bedrooms a false ceiling is a option to have diffused lighting that mellows down the atmosphere making it quiet and soothing . Darker shades of color compared to the vibrancy in the living room.

Ergonomics in the home

Making the house a home where people are expected to perform roles. A home fit to be liveable and enhancing the efficiency of the people sharing the space , furniture, etc. Relaxing yet fostering convenience and comfort . Functional areas like the kitchen, dining space and even bathrooms need to be designed with care to bring about a certain ease of movement and not tiring out or stressful .

Weather conditions do override

While the coastal climate calls for a particular treatment with choice of lighter furniture and cooler colors, the colder climes would see the use of wood.

Lighting

From natural to artificial, lighting lends vibrancy while improving human efficiency in the living spaces . Not to go for artificial lighting at the cost of natural . A table lamp can be used to enhance space and a hanging one to attract the attention towards the ceiling.

Accessories are primarily functional

Don’t compromise comfort when it comes to furniture but avoid being obtrusive. Don’t over accessorize lest there be clutter and lack of fineness.

Aesthetically improvised, a simple ledge.

Improvements in the look and feel of the home interiors creates a positive impact on the lifestyle. This certainly would help in enhancing quality of life and approach towards a positive viewpoint.
