maximios July 15, 2024

Daniel Libeskind is an international figure in architecture and is renowned for his ability to induce cultural context in buildings. According to him, buildings are crafted with perceptible human energy and he aims at creating masterpieces that are unique and sustainable.

Best known for designing iconic buildings like the Jewish Museum in Berlin and the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Libeskind also designed the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and the masterplan for the new World Trade Center site in New York City.

Mr. Libeskind speaks widely on the art of architecture in universities and professional summits. His architecture and ideas have been the subject of many articles and exhibitions, influencing the field of architecture and the development of cities and culture. His commitment to expanding the scope of architecture reflects his profound interest and involvement in philosophy, art, literature and music.

He feels that the notion of architecture is interesting. Architecture and music are closely related as both are based on balance and the balance is on the inner self and not in just eyes. Also, drawing is the source of architecture and it shows a faith on something you cannot see and which you only believe or dream. He believes a building should not be repetition of another building and it should make balance with the current lifestyle, culture and environment.
